Planning is crucial for me because it helps me avoid slow and stressful days that can increase anxiety for parents like me. We also keep an interactive calendar in the living room that our kids use to keep track of our daily plans.
We usually plan for the summer a few months back. I do most of the planning at the beginning of Spring such as booking summer camps for the first few weeks in July. However, I also plan several weeks for family bonding time which does include vacations, local trips, or just even hanging around the neighborhood.
In this blog post, we will talk about 16 great summer activities that are budget-friendly (from zero to low-cost) activities that both you and your kids can enjoy together and enhance your family bonding. What a win-win situation!
Additionally, for each activity, I have included suggestions for conversation topics (English & Chinese) and family bonding opportunities that you can explore.
As a bonus, I am giving away a free Summer bucket list printable for your kids. They are available in different language versions: English and Bilingual Chinese.
So print it off and get ready to have an amazing summer full of memories.
